Installation
Download the Appxweb Meta runtime and follow the steps contained in the Installation Guide. If after installation the Meta toolbar is not visible refer to the Troubleshooting help.
Quick Start
To run your first Meta extension navigate your browser to the web site which provides a link to the extension, referred to as a "Package Link". For this example we will use the RSS Link demo. Running the extension is a two step process. [1] First click the "Run" button from the Meta Toolbar which will then turn green indicating Meta is ready to create the extension. [2] Next click the extensions package link.

Thats it, the Meta extension will be created dynamically and integrated as part of the brower's user interface.

Favourites and Links Toolbar
The package link used to run a Meta extension is just like any other web page link. What this means is you can add the package link for extensions you use frequently to your favourites or Links toolbar. You can now run the extension from any web page without losing focus or having to break your work flow.

To run the extension, as before, click the "Run" button from the Meta Toolbar. Next click the favourite or Link Toolbar button for the extension's package link.
Home and Exiting
Meta extensions are able to have specific user interfaces associated with different web pages. To return to extensions homepage select the first button on the toolbar.

To exit an extension either utilise the functionality provided by the Meta extension or alternatively select the first drop down menu button on the toolbar and select the exit menu item.

Source View
Once a Meta extension is running to view the source declaration select the first drop down menu button on the extension toolbar and select the Source menu item.

Running Multiple Extensions
Meta treats each browser tab as a separate space to run your Meta extension. This means you can run multiple Meta extensions simultaneously. To try this out you need to first run a Meta extension. Now open a new tab and notice that the user interface changes back to the main Meta toolbar. From this new tab run another extension. Clicking between the tabs displays the two different Meta extensions.
